Tanya Davis

Tanya began riding at a very young age, and grew up as an avid member of the United States Pony Club. Wanting to build on this education, she later traveled to Great Britain to train with Olympic Eventing and Dressage riders Christopher and Jane Bartle at the prestigious Yorkshire Riding Centre. As the former German Eventing Team coach and current British Eventing Team coach, Christopher Bartle has a history of training the best event riders in the world, including Michael Jung and Ingrid Klimke. While at the YRC, Tanya obtained her certification as a British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor (BHSII), an honor granted only after a process of rigorous training and testing by the high standards of British horsemanship. After years of teaching and training at various facilities, she began her own Three Day Farm in 1994 in Burbank, California. Wanting to further her competition career, she moved back to England in 1998 with her 3*** horse Brindalus. After several more years of training and competing there, she returned to the U.S. in 2000, where she relocated to Lexington, KY, re-established Three Day Farm, and continued to compete through Intermediate Eventing and Third Level Dressage. Tanya has been training horses and riders now for over 30 years and has experience with a wide variety of horses, including difficult and “problem” horses. Throughout her career she has consistently produced horses who are well schooled, reliable, and confident. She excels at creating confidence in inexperienced or timid riders, and also challenging more ambitious riders to reach their goals, with past students competing successfully through the Preliminary and 2** level.

Abby Blackburn

Abby began riding at the age of 5, and moved to Lexington in 2015 to pursue a career in horses, beginning with a degree in Business at Transylvania University. While in school, Abby worked as a working student and served as Team Captain of the Transylvania University Eventing Team. In 2018, she won the title of USEA National Intercollegiate Rider of the Year at the Novice level; in 2019, she was named Transylvania University’s Athlete of the Year. Abby assists with training and exercise rides in conjunction with Tanya at Three Day and has ridden countless horses of all shapes, mentality and sizes through training, in shows, and up the levels of USEA horse trials. She recently placed 8th in Novice the American Eventing Championships. She works full time at TDF as barn manager and assistant trainer while actively competing, and managing the thriving kid's beginner lesson program at Three Day farm.
